food metal detectors

Food production lines must have food metal detectors because they can save lives and brand influence – metal falling into food during the food production process will forever damage the food factory’s orders. Fortunately, if you are equipped with food metal detectors in advance to detect metal particles that may contaminate goods during the production process, then you can avoid these problems!

The basic operating principle of a food/industrial metal detector is based on a 3-coil design. This design utilizes an amplitude modulated transmitter coil and two receiver coils, one on either side of the transmitter. The design and physical configuration of the receiver coils facilitates the detection of extremely small metal contaminants, 1 mm or less. Today, modern metal detectors continue to utilize this configuration to detect metal contaminants.

Reliable Detection Performance

The coils are configured to create an opening through which the product (food, plastics, pharmaceuticals, etc.) can pass through the coils. This opening or aperture allows the product to pass in and out through the three-coil system, producing equal but mirrored signals on the two receiver coils. The resulting signals are added together, effectively canceling each other out.
